Pimpety pimp pimp
I don't know that I'm up for participating myself (which is a testament to how down I've been lately, because this is so my thing), but I wanted to let y'all know that there's an awesome Crossover Drabble-a-thon starting up, and y'all should all go write. Because I know there are those of you out there who love this sort of thing (*coughredsilverchainscough*) and there can never be enough crossovers in the world.
THE CROSS-A-DRABBLE MEME
Go forth and write fic!
However, if you want to leave prompts for me in the comments, maybe something will catch my eye? No guarantees, of course, but perhaps?

And this reminds me that I absolutely have to look at your Dawn-Dollhouse crossover...
Okay, I have this thing about Buffy being friends with Tony/Victor and Spike being friends with Priya/Sierra. I have no idea why. So if you wanna run with either one of those, feel free.
I am having the world's hardest time remembering what you've seen/read/etc. Wanna give me some fandoms and I'll throw some characters together for you?

Um. My problems is that I'm such a canon whore that I'd feel the need to rewatch most things before I wrote them...
Okay: Firefly, SeaQuest (but you haven't seen that, have you?), Dollhouse, Happy Days, Gilligan's Island, M*A*S*H. Plus a bunch of movies like the original Star Wars trilogy, Back to the Future and sequels, Oceans 11, Sabrina, O Brother Where Art Thou, Gattaca, The Matrix (but not sequels - bleah), Minority Report, The Music Man, Mary Poppins. And books, although it's been a bit hit-or-miss recently. Um, early Dune stuff, Tam Lin, pretty much everything Neil Gaiman and C.S. Lewis (although I've only read the Space Trilogy once).
Enough to start? I can't promise anything, though.
Honestly, I think those latter two sections might need total reworking. But I wouldn't mind hearing it, so I know for sure.

Sorry. I love that movie.
Would Dana from AtS meeting up with River Tam be too much crazy kick-ass girl? I have this thing for River being a Slayer in the future, so what if she had some sort of Slayer memories? Buffy's or Nikki's or Dana's or Faith's? What if she met up with Spike, who's still around and fighting the good fight?
I may have already written that story, but there can't be too much of it, right? For some reason, I feel like Wash meeting up with Han Solo would be made of awesome.
You could maybe do some L.M. Montgomery crossovers. Like Valancy's at some fancy party she doesn't particularly want to be at but she and Barney are there to make his dad happy. And she meets one of her favorite writers--one Ms. Emily Starr Kent. Or Walter's poem becoming really famous after his death and Emily wants to meet the family of the dead soldier who wrote it.
Gah. Suddenly I'm inundated with seven million ideas for L.M. Montgomery crossovers. I could do this all night.
Eh. I don't know. I'm not feeling very creative recently. Like my creative juices have frozen up and aren't flowing.
So not what you asked for!

Every so often, it happens. He battles demons, brave warrior he, and suddenly finds some bitty thing meeting him halfway, blocking his kicks and kicking his punches like she was born dancing. Every time he thinks, this is what he lives for.
But it isn’t. Even rarer, the girl looks at him, his face he can’t remember and the hair he still bleaches for just such moments as this – and her eyes widen, and she knows. Usually, she tries to kill him harder; once a feisty brunette kissed him and ran.
He’s still waiting for one that knows his name.
Re: So not what you asked for!
I love it. Every word is perfect.
OH!
And now I want a long, long fic about this, about him waiting and fighting and dancing, and then finding the one who knows his name.
Re: So not what you asked for!
I, uh, may be writing one for you? We'll have to see. I am such a magpie with fic ideas lately - I keep hopping from one shiny thing to the next.
Re: So not what you asked for!
But at the same time, I'm a chronic magpie when it comes to writing, so I understand. But know that if you do write something, I will flail with joy!
