when i wrote my wes/lilah meta i noted that they are pretty much always viewed as a hate-sexy unhealthy relationship when actually they are one of the most healthy relationships in the verse (in a very odd twist of events), and the fact that this fandom views their sexuality as dark and twisty when it's actually just sex says something about the way joss has conditioned us.
