Fun times!
My internet at home is not working. I cannot watch Doctor Who. Work is lame.
So what's the only thing that will make me feel better? Shipping, of course!

Pick15 20 of your ships and write down a quote for each of them. Have your flist guess the ships without searching.
Hint: Only one couple per fandom. 15 TV shows, 3 movies, 2 book series.
1. "I would do anything for you. For both of you."
"Except for the one thing I asked you to do."
2. "He's not my boyfriend!"
"I'm not her boyfriend! ...They just don't get it."
"No, why would they? Let's go, baby."
3. "You should write a book...translating mad things girls do so boys can understand them."
4. "But I did what I thought was right. If it was a mistake, fine, I can live with that. It's you I can't live without."
5. "Do I look any different?" [long pause] "I do?"
"I'd have to see you naked."
6. "Your eyes are doing that thing where they don't match your mouth."
"I wasn't aware that robots got jealous. Did they update your software while I was away?"
7. "I'm doing it. But I'm not going to pretend to like it. Not now. Not down here. Up there I'll try my best to smile. But down here. I'm pissed. Okay?"
8. "I love the smell of testosterone in the morning."
"This is why I suggested attack dogs, but no, my mother wanted an Alpaca."
9. "Dear diary, it's that cute American again, and he's searching my desk. Does this mean he fancies me? It's so difficult to know what to say in these situations. One wants to be firm with him, but just a little seductive. Find out what the hell he's doing, but maybe encourage him a little. I need style, authority, and sex appeal." [If someone gets this one, I might fall over dead.]
10. "You were in my shoes, I was in your pants."
11. "You sleep with him?"
"Yeah."
"You coulda lied to me."
12. "How much effort am I worth?"
"I'd break a light sweat."
13. "Have you completely lost your mind?"
"Well, yes. Where have you been all night?"
14. "Oh, yeah! I definitely have to say it was her legs. You can put that down! Her legs, and right where her legs meet her back. That - actually that whole area. That and - and above it."
15. "'I wonder if I can ever make her care for me,' he thought with a pang of self-distrust."
16. "Have you got something to tell me?"
"Um, I dunno. I like your hair? No. Your top's nice. I love you? Any of those?"
"No."
17. "Pretty girl."
"Yes. She's a very nice type."
"You got types?"
"Only you, darling. Lanky brunettes with wicked jaws."
[Someone make my day and get this one!]
18. "I happen to like nice men."
"I'm a nice man."
"No, you're not."
19. "It just occurred to me that we are very fortunate to have good teeth."
"Yes, very fortunate."
"Can you imagine if braces were involved in this interaction?"
"It would be a bloodbath."
20. "How do you know I'm a nice girl?"
"'Cause of your smile, I guess. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they smile."

It's sort of like Pete and Peggy on Mad Men: Peggy is a thousand times too good for Pete, and I want her to find someone who would make her happy. But. I love to watch them interact, and I feel like there's a part of each of them that only the other would understand. I feel the same way about Tony and Michelle--there's something about each other that they just get. I think watching Tony figure out that she's an actual person and that he cares about her was really interesting; I think he learned a lot from her. I think she learned a lot from him, too, and I hope she finds someone who will treat her well. But she'll probably always think about Tony, you know?
Or Wes and Lilah. But they're just pure screwed-up awesome.

But yeah: I like to think that Michelle moves on and finds someone wonderful and has a great life, and one day she runs into Tony on a street in London and they grab a coffee, and he's grown up. And he apologizes for the way he treated her in the past. And then she goes back to her wonderful life.
It's that kind of ship. A kind of ship where I really want to see that sort of moment happen, you know? Sort of like the ultimate Lilah/Wes moment was him trying to burn that contract. WHICH IS THE GREATEST ANGEL MOMENT EVER.
AH! A Lilah/Wes icon! *is excited*
randomly intruding to say...
I agree with everything re: P/P, T/M and W/L. All of which I ship. A LOT.
It wasn't healthy. But it was interesting.
Hah, I think you describe 99.9% of my ships. (No doubt this has BAD real-life implications. Bah.) But you know me, I'm the not!romantic. The only ships I find worthwhile ARE of this variety: "there's a part of each of them that only the other would understand." It's not about one person 'deserving' the other. It's about the two people being connected by the fact that they're the only people who can actually put up with one another. Elisabeth Moss actually said recently that part of the reason Pete keeps being drawn back to Peggy is because she's the only person who sees him for what he is, and accepts it. (Considering that your opinion of Pete is one shared by most of us generally, this has even more significance.)
And one quibble - I would TOTALLY say that Tony and Michelle were good together. They were so in sync with their constantly matching clothes! XD But seriously though, they were clearly the head bitches in charge, and together it was double the fierceness.
IDK though, I'm probably defining 'good together' differently from you. It's sort of like Cook and Effy from gen. 2. (Which you may or may not have seen yet.) They're both emotional trainwrecks and clearly suck at having a functional relationship, but they're 100% partners in crime and undeniably equal each other's awesomeness. You know?
/shippy rant.
