Just...watch this

Oh, Founding Fathers. Why are you so hilarious all the time?

This reminds me of that episode of Gilmore Girls where Emily's DAR friends are arguing over which Founding Father was the hottest. HI-LARIOUS.

I'm totally going to be watching 1776 after work tomorrow....

THAT WAS FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!! \o/

And 1776 is a great movie -- we dig it every so often on July 4th. Enjoy!

It made me giggle so much! Especially at the end when they're all rock-starred out but still have the wigs!

I really enjoy it. I actually own it, which is strange because I own relatively few movies. But it never fails to make me smile!

Forwarded the video to my friend who teaches high school history - she loves stuff like this!

Oh, good! I hope she enjoys it!

I personally think it's hilarious because the tongue is so firmly in cheek, but I wonder if high schoolers might roll their eyes? I feel like it'll either go over really, really well...or bomb. I'd be interested in knowing which.

You know that's how the Decloration had been written. We had our founding fathers dancing on tables and King George III snacking on grapes (I can't watch that without spilling out into gleeful giggles. "Grape attack! Go away!")

I am proud ot be an American.

*giggles* GG was filled with epic silliness.

AND YOU MUST, MUST, MUST WATCH 1776. OR SO HELP ME I WILL SIT ON YOU!

Heeeee!! Man, now I want to watch 1776, too. I love how New York always abstains "courteously." (Sidebar: We actually watched the movie in my AP American History class in high school, but the teacher fast-forwarded through the John/Abigail stuff because it wasn't relevant to history. Booo. Like the rest of it's so historically accurate.)

fjsd;lafdsja I lost it completely when they broke out the Angry Violining.

THEIR ANGST IS LEGIT.

(1776 is kind of my historical canon. It just makes me like people a lot more, is all.)
