Show Yourselves!

Snagged from everyone ever:

Today has been declared lurker amnesty day! Have you read me but never commented? Do you surf by occasionally? Here for the Buffy, SPN or the general snark and commentary and whinging? Say hello! You are under no obligation to ever comment or delurk again, but here's a chance to do so in a post just for that.

Since I do write for others as well as myself, just knowing that other people are actually reading is a huge inspiration for me. So just drop in and say hey--and make my day!

I think I would definitely qualify as a "true lurker" because I read and follow a lot, but I never ever comment! *shamed* A lot of people already know each other and I feel sorta weird, bustin' into the "community" as a relative newbie. I guess now that I've shown myself I'll have to submit to the urge to review/comment now. Oh, well. =)

Aw! This thread is all about the no shaming! No shame! Although Buffy blushing in your icon is totally adorable! (I girlcrush on Buffy, in case you haven't noticed!)

I totally know what you mean about newbieness. I'm actually relatively new to BtVS fandom myself, though not to fandom in general. And it was really intimidating at first because of how established everyone else seemed to be, with friendships already formed and reputations solidified. But I've found everyone to be wonderfully welcoming, so if you do ever want to bust into it more, I'm sure everyone would be super-encouraging! And if not, that's cool, too: there are a few fandoms I tend to do more lurking in than actual participation.

Anyways, thanks for letting me know! And I'm glad to have met you! If you ever need any tips/recs/whatever re: fandom, let me know!
