Icon is most excellent. (It's actually 4am here right now, but I was bored with sleeping, so.)
Every time you read an article or essay or blog-entry...it's all about how "ANGEL IS HER ONE TRUE LOVE OMG"
It's got to be the effect of marketing. B/A, truthfully, is probably the most marketable thing about BtVS, and Lord knows they've been milked. (It's interesting to think about, because before venturing into fandom, I always assumed that B/A was the preferred fandom pairing. But now? I really don't think they are any more popular than S/B. And Angel is definitely not more popular than Spike. Then again, I could be completely, completely off.) I have noticed that the later seasons get virtually zero attention in media, and S2-3 are treated as the apex of the show or something. Meh. I say meh.
