Honestly watching 19th century nationalism take over the world again after we had an ENTIRE CENTURY that taught us that nationalism is bad, actually is just...wild. It makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. Like, didn't we establish that this is a terrible thing? Didn't all the millions and millions of lives we lost in the 20th century teach us that???
Sometimes it really feels like humanity as a unit is just incapable of learning...anything.
Obviously I'm pro-democracy but I kind of feel like my main political alignment right now is anti-nationalism.
