Soliciting recommendations
So! I am not ~Back Yet~ but I am with my parents and planning our UK trip. (How will I wait till May???)
I know a number of y'all are in the UK or visit there fairly frequently so I am now soliciting recommendations of good, not-high-end places to eat in:
+ London - I mean, we're going to visit a lot of the markets for street food, but maybe a few places nearish to where we're staying in Bloomsbury
+ Bath
+ Winchester
+ Oxford
Any recommendations will be appreciated!

- Colonel Saab - bit more high-end but worth it imo
- Borough market, though there are tons of good ones
- Da Mario in Covent Garden - can be fancy but depends what you order!
- Franco Manca for good cheap pizza
- also rec the French patisserie in the actual Covent Garden market I'm desperately trying to remember the name of, does amazing macaroons
- you'll be near Soho which has tons of great restaurants. I totally rec Amorino Gelato for fun, yummy ice cream - it's a chain but idc, it's delicious and you can get ice cream shaped like a rose!
- the Real Greek is reliable and has lots of options
In general Soho has a lot of dinner places, and High Holborn has a million lunch places. Anti-rec for the British Museum food, it's so overpriced - I mean, I wanna support the museum, but the gift shop is actually good, lol. Also, wear good shoes for the British Museum, it's got marble floors and my feet always start to hurt quickly.
Seconding the high tea rec but do that in Bath, the place is saturated with Jane Austen stuff so I bet you can get a v good one. Also, none of my business, but May is warm and sunny so you might wanna do a day trip to Cambridge and go on the Cam? (The river.) Or St Albans if you like bougie, pretty, traditional market towns with a cathedral and some Roman history, though I guess Winchester probably has you covered there, haha.

Thank you so much for these suggestions!!! I was already planning on going to Borough market because they love street food as much as I do, but the others are new to me and I will check them out!
