So I checked my email this morning and I had not one but TWO presents waiting for me.

The first was a virtual gift from the Anonymous Tulip Fairy (I feel like there should be a crack!fic about this mysterious person!), which was a lovely, spring-y greeting on such a winter morning. Thank you, whoever you are!

The second was AWESOME BEYOND ALL REASON.

Do you realize what this is? This is a poster for my fic Scarlet and Midnight made by the ridiculously talented katekat1010 and commissioned by the all-around awesome (and alliterative, apparently!) snickfic! It's it beautiful and evocative? It captures the feel of the fic perfectly, and it's all-around gorgeous. So thank you, ladies, for your generosity! It completely made my day!

Also, apparently it's Joy Day. I am a big fan of joy; I even have an icon about it. So here! Have some


Pecan! Pretend like it's my mama's amazing chocolate chip pecan, okay?


Lemon icebox! My mama also makes an amazing version of this pie, too!


Chess! My aunt's is the best in the world!


Fudge! I have a cousin-I-call-an-aunt who makes fudge pie that is so amazing that when you eat it hot out of the oven IT MAKES YOU WANT TO DIIIIE. Trufax.


And just to shake things up a bit, how 'bout some blackberry cobbler? My grandmama's was always mouthwatering.

Yes, I know. I'm very silly. But I wish you all could visit me, and I would make you pie and biscuits (I make amazing biscuits) and sweet tea and other lovely things and we would watch some fabulous TV and chat about silly things and not go outside because it's cold, and it would be lovely. But since we can't do that, pretend we are. Have a virtual party with me!

I'll try to think of more joyful things later (maybe fic? Can I whip something up that quickly? We'll see!), and I wish you a joyful day!
