gosh this was hard for me for the exact opposite reasons it was hard for you: I barely watch tv, and for a moment I was unsure I could even come up with enough relevant shows to fill out the whole 8! But here's mine.

  1. Slings & Arrows - theatre, canadiana, combines real emotional depth with a silly premise

  2. Nirvana in Fire - quality tv show that contains delicious identity porn and competence porn, and is part of my interest in recent years in chinese storytelling

  3. VeggieTales - childhood nostalgia

  4. Prehistoric Planet - DINOSAURS

  5. Salt Fat Acid Heat - samin nosrat just loves food SO MUCH and wants to take you along on the journey with her. a joyous exploration of a person's passion.

  6. Galavant - an extremely silly show that wholeheartedly embraced being exactly what it was with no shame, in a way that elevated it to a work of brilliance. Also it's a musical.

  7. Yuri on Ice - the only anime I've ever watched, and I was clearly lacking in some understandings of how to read the genre, but I loved it so much I watched it twice. and I never rewatch tv. It's GAY and it's COMPETENCE and it's dedicated to making you love every character in the ensemble cast

  8. Scumbag System - is it good? ehhhhhhh. do I desperately want them to continue this adaptation? five million percent yes.

I'm interested that we don't have any shows in common across our lists! I did nearly put The Untamed in, because it's a super important show for me too, but I haven't even watched any of your other shows! (I mean, a few eps here and there of various star treks, and the first season and a half or so of buffy, but not enough to qualify as actually watching either one.)
