Hello and happy Yuletide! Thanks for choosing one of my fandoms and thanks in advance for the story! I always find that the writing is the most enjoyable, rewarding part of Yuletide and I hope you feel the same way.
The prompts are here purely for your convenience and to get the plot bunnies stirring. If none of them appeal to you, it's fine to go in a different direction.
For the shippy requests, it is totally fine to include sexual content as long as it's not just porn without plot. Porn rooted in plot or in characterization is my preference if you want to write porn at all. But porn is by no means necessary--I will happily read any rating.
I love canon divergence, but please no AUs that change the setting--I don't want to read stuff set in high school or coffee shops or with superheroes or whatever.
DNWS: PWP, character-bashing, infidelity, "onscreen" rape/non-con (dubcon of the shag-or-die/sex pollen or we're-forced-to-have-sex-due-to-circumstances are okay if it's between requested ships), AUs that change the setting (no high schools, coffee shops, or superheroes, please!), unmitigated fluff (some fluff is fine, but please temper it with other things), humiliation, broad humor, OOC, baby fic (meaning fic that focuses on the ship having/adopting a child. Fandom-specific thoughts:
Fiddler on the Roof (1971)
Hodel, Perchik
My first choice for this fandom is anything at all about Hodel and Perchik falling in love. The proposal scene in the film is my favorite proposal scene from any form of media ever, so that should give you some idea of what I'm into with this dynamic. I mean, it's got to be so frustrating being in love with this guy who can only see anything through the lens of class struggle, but also Hodel clearly loves how idealistic and committed Perchik is. And I believe he would never have fallen for her (certainly not enough to ask her to marry him) if she wasn't as smart as he was and at least open to his political priorities. So I want to watch two revolutionaries (or, really, a revolutionary and a potential revolutionary) fall in love with both their brains and their hearts.
Ideally, I'd love this to be set during the canon, but if you want to write something that is set after the movie but with some insight into how they came to fall in love, I'd enjoy that too. If you want to alter the movie's timeline so that Perchik is with them longer so that he and Hodel can get to know each other better, I'd love that.
I also adore all the other girls and their love interests, so something that looks at the three different couples would be wonderful too. If you don't want to write something shippy: sister!fic would be great! I love all the girls, so anything about the complicated bonds of sisterhood, about learning to understand each other even when you're so different, about their differing relationships to their Jewishness, etc. would make me really happy.
Some prompts:
+ What is it about Hodel that initially catches Perchik's attention? I feel confident that it's got to be something to do with her impressing him with her thoughtfulness, but I would love to see that up close.
+ How does Hodel really feel about this random guy who's living with them? Does she think he's full of it? Is she impressed right away by his passion? Is he especially great interacting with her little sisters?
+ In a world of such limitations on interactions between unmarried men and women, how do they find time to get to know each other?
+ Has Hodel read some political stuff before/did she have political opinions before they met?
+ An AU where Hodel is also a revolutionary and they meet in Kiev (or wherever), but she still grew up in Anatevka
+ Maybe something from the pov of Shprintze and/or Bielke about watching their older sisters fall in love
+ Something that compares/contrasts the three oldest sisters' romantic arcs. I really love Tzeitel/Motel to bits, and while I have some mixed feelings about Chava/Fyedka (mostly related to the religious stuff--if he would just convert, all my problems would be solved!), they are very sweet as well. I love how all three of the girls are their own matchmakers and their decisions lead them in such different directions.
+ Tell me about their sex life. (Two virgins figuring this thing out? So much potential there!) But don't only tell me about their sex life. (By which I mean, no PWP.)

Seo Dan, Gu Seung-Jung
JUSTICE 4 SEO DAN! My ideal fic for this fandom is a re-write where Seung-Jung lives and Dan gets to be happy and loved and adored. Usually I am 100% for any ending where a woman ends up single and happy, but in this particular case, Dan is so hungry to be loved in a romantic way and I just want to see her satisfied in that way. I'm wide open to however you want to approach it so long as it's mostly focused on Dan and how great she is. I especially think it would be nice to see Seung-Jung openly adoring Dan and her being really unsure how to deal with that--she craves it, it's exactly what she wants, but she's never been in that position before so she has no clue how to openly react--plus, she's always been very emotionally closed-off and has to learn to open up.
(When I think of Seo Dan, I think of a quote from Norwegian Wood: “I was always hungry for love. Just once, I wanted to know what it was like to get my fill of it — to be fed so much love I couldn’t take any more. Just once.”)

+ AU where Dan and Seung-Jung meet in different circumstances (maybe he's trying to con her? Maybe they meet in Russia? The possibilities are endless)
+ Alternate ending where Seung-Jung lives and has to figure out how to be a good man for Dan

Catherine of Winchester, Worldbuilding
*bangs on the table* WORLDBUILDING. With this fandom, I am ravenous for anything that replicates the feel of the book (footnotes welcome!), especially the wild, fae York-adjacent magic. If you want to bring in some canon side characters like the Raven King or Catherine of Winchester, that would be great, but I am not really wanting anything focused on the characters from the novel. I'm all about the atmosphere, the eerie magic, the sense of history, the scholarly bent, the pastiche of the 19th century novel, etc.
I don't have any specific prompts to share with you, but since you're brave enough to agree to offer worldbuilding for this fandom, I am confident that anything you write will be wonderful.

Naru or Naru&Taabe
This is my spite request. As I usually do when I finish a film I enjoyed, I went to AO3 to look in the tag to see what kind of fic there was. What I found there was...displeasing to me. The thing I love about this film is Naru. Her character, her arc, her relationships. I just love how much she's like the resourceful heroine of a mid-century YA historical novel. She's so smart and adaptable and she learns so quickly and works so hard to figure things out. She also overestimates her own talents and runs headfirst into trouble. I would love any fic that is Naru-centric.
I am not into monsterfucking and really don't find the Naru/Predator relationship that interesting--that is not where my interest lies. I also haven't seen any of the other films, so if you want to incorporate anything from those, please do it in a way that someone who has only seen this film could understand.
Some prompts:
+ Canon divergence where Taabe lives. How? Do they work together to kill the monster?
+ Any kind of background or missing scene fic about the Naru&Taabe relationship
+ Canon divergence where Naru isn't able to take out the monster on her own, so the community has to do it together
+ Anything about Naru navigating the culture clash that's inevitably coming. It seems like the events of the film depict the first time she encountered any Europeans; I would be interested in reading about how she handles subsequent interactions.

Tbh, I just want something shippy. I like this pairing a lot, but I don't feel like I get to see enough of it in the fic. Anything fleshing them out--or anything canon-divergence about another way they could get together--would make me happy. If you really don't want to write ship fic for these two, then something with them being friends would work as well. I'm really easy to please as far as this fandom goes!
