Just wanted to share something real quick....
Replies and such later, but first!
This came on my TV last night during Project Runway, and I thought it was incredibly beautiful. I'm apparently waaaay out of the loop, because I had no idea what it was. But now I can't decide whether to be deliriously excited or not.
I mean, the cast is so schizophrenic! Daniel Day-Lewis! Judi Dench! Sophia Loren! Marion Cotillard! Penelope Cruz! But then...there's Kate Hudson. And Fergie? Wha? And I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I could care less about Nicole Kidman. Whatever.
It looks gorgeous, but I just don't know. Thoughts, anyone? At the very least, do yourself a favor and watch the beautiful that is this tv spot.

But this was classicaly, almost laughable. But in a surprisingly good way. i guess there' ssomething about old time circus music to the backdrop of whores. I LOVE IT.

Maybe it's more of a...glorified cameo-type role? From some things I've read, I think it might be.
Well, maybe she'll be awesome in another musical! We can hope!
And I still haven't watched Moulin Rouge....If I ever do, you will be the first to know.

I love anything with Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly - to name a few. Which means that I adore "The Philadelphia Story," "How to Catch a Thief," "Charade" (I love it so much!) and any of the Katherine Hepburn/Spencer Tracy duos. :D

She did very well in Moulin Rouge, and that has plenty of singing and dancing, so I have faith :) And if something goes wrong, I'll just retreat to my safe place of Favourite Movie *g*

Honestly, it's my favourite movie, but I think you'd really like it, too. But I'll not oversell it :p

We grew up watching all those, plus musicals and anything Hitchcock. I still to this day love the look of black and white. I have this idea for a TV show in the back of my head that will never happen but that's my crazy dream job, and I would want to shoot it entirely in black and white. Because it's so ambient!
Anyways, the first Thin Man movie starts out a bit slow, but as soon as Nick shows up....And the second one has a young (and absolutely lovely) Jimmy Stewart! I think you'd like them.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT! Of course, I did think she needed to loosen up on the COurtney Love eyes. *giggles*
Althea needed a major haircut.
And Irina needed a major bitch cut.
