I was almost asleep last night and suddenly Madam Lan and Lan Qiren started having a conversation in my head and I had to get out of bed and write 1500 words before my brain would settle down enough to let me sleep. So I am tired today, but I think what I wrote was a decent start of what could be an interesting fic.
That's backstory for this question:
Does anyone know if there are any common fanon names for Mama Lan? That get used a lot in fic? Since we don't know her canon name?
In many fandoms I've been in, significant characters whose names we don't know will get names kind of assigned to them by fandom (the most obvious example being Number One in ST TOS). Has anything like that happened with MDZS/CQL? I'd rather use a name people are familiar if I can. If not, I need to do some very serious research to come up with one.
(Right now, I'm calling her Wang Yiren in my head because I like the idea of her last name being Wang as a tribute to Wang Yibo, but Wang Yiren is the name of an idol in Everglow, so I probably don't want to stick with that one. I just needed a placeholder though.)
