oh my god, i love him too! *literary happiness* - he's crazy and tortured and really messed up but also very lovable...i don't know how faulkner does it. YAY! I can't tell you how much that pleases me!
...i may not have read A,A! yet, but now i really want to... Do. It. It's my favorite "literary" novel. Period. It's also his best work.
veronica has issues with being a bff, true, but i think that's part of what makes me like them so much, because the writers don't hide from that. Very true. It's just that sometimes I get upset on poor, long-suffering Wallace's behalf.
that's such an interesting description of the operative. wow. it's dead on, too, if you look at their history, their methods of attack, their dispositions...interesting. : ) I don't remember if I came up with that one myself or not, but now I can't think of them any other way. Mal was a believer once, too, back before Serenity Valley....
