I really, really liked Trade Winds, but there's one of those "romantic rapes" that kind of sours it some.

I still remember the massacre scene at the party as being particularly harrowing. Her historical details are so impressive, and she really brought the horror of all that to life.

I read it again just recently and fell in love with it all over again. Just writing about it made me want to reread!
