(I've just discovered Leverage, so forgive the one-track-noteness of these questions)
Show: Firefly or Leverage?
Character: Hardison or Martha Jones?
Ship: Angel/Cordelia or Nate/Sophie?
Anything: Heyer or Wodehouse?
no subject
+ Proooobably Hardison but only because I don't have to get as angry about his narrative as I do about Martha's? But both of them are extremely underrated. [There's also the fact that I would actually like to marry Hardison and also that Aldis Hodge's everything does it for me in an OH THIS IS A REMINDER THAT I REALLY LIKE GUYS kind of way. So.]
+ Angel/Cordy. I'm not so fond of Nate. Least favorite. I don't dislike him, per se, I just don't have ~feelings about him the way I do the others.
+ AHHHH WHAT AN EVIL QUESTION. I've only read like 2 Heyer...but probably Heyer. Because: more ladies.
TELL ME ALL YOUR LEVERAGE FEELINGS!
Here we go:
Ron Weasley or Hardison
Firefly or Leverage (because I'm interested)
Battle of the hackers: Mac from VMars, Hardison, or Willow
Chime or Ella Enchanted (have you read EE? YOU MUST IF YOU HAVEN'T!)
More to come!

Ron WEASley or HARDISON?
I
.
you are bad person who is dangerous to know.

(The gist of my Leverage feelings is basically "... oh my god, they've written the actual perfect man". And, also, "Parker is amazing and I want to live in her brain and she's probably a vampire or maybe a Time Lady but that's okay".)
Firefly or Leverage - I am actually going with Leverage, which is surprising me? Firefly has more concentrated hilarity, but Leverage has this innate kindness and it actually makes me feel better about the world. (Haven't finished Leverage yet, am mid-S3. But I somehow don't think it will disappoint me the way Firefly inevitably would have, had it not been discontinued.)
Hackers: HARDISON FOREVER. I mean, apart from him being THE PERFECT MAN (and I mean that unironically, I have a half-finished essay on it in my googledocs), he's also the - basically, this whole new class of hackerhood. Like, okay, this is related to being a hacker of colour (and how are there not more hackers of colour?), and also to having actual morals and emotions, but Hardison, I feel, is revolutionary because he's not hacking for the power trip. I mean, he does enjoy the power trip (and he likes money <3), but he's mostly in it just for knowledge. He wants to be informed. He hacks the White House and doesn't change anything, but he goes through their catalogued war crimes. He's... basically, he fulfills Ms Calendar's legacy of taking information away from the rich old white men? And that. Is hot.
(Willow wants the knowledge too, but she increasingly enjoys the power aspect too, I think, and then she kind of - leaves behind her hacker persona, so it doesn't grow and mature with her.)
Finally, ooooh I am actually reading Ella Enchanted RIGHT NOW? The Evil Stepsisters are currently torturing her with the locket. I am thus far quite charmed, and I love the suggestion that Char is a perfect friend/boyfriend to her because he's born into the kind of power where he has to be extra-conscious to never accidentally speak in commands. But I've not yet LOVED the book the way I do Chime. I can keep you updated about my Ella-feels if you wish!

it is sadly Nate-centric but I have some Plans about Hardison in its sequel.
(I, surprisingly, don't dislike Nate. Or rather, yes I do, but I love the way his team keeps tolerating his dickishness. Which, I know, is weird! But, just, I like the way his team is conscious of his flaws and chooses to forgive them, because, that's what families do? Even chosen families. Especially chosen families.)

Also, their costuming choices for him are flawless.
Also, oooh, another round for this game:
Game of Thrones or Battlestar Galactica?
Dawn Summers or Sansa Stark?
Hardison/Parker or Rory/Amy?
Fanvids or webcomics?
no subject
Gaius Baltar or Topher Brink? and/or: Bennett Halverston or Fred Burkle?
Darla/Dru or Spike/Angel?
Astronauts or cavemen?
no subject
Character: Barney Stinson or Ted Moseby
Pairing: Hyde/Jackie or Kelso/Jackie
Anything: chips or cookies
BTW I'm totally stealing this!

Darla or Drusilla?
Spike/Drusilla or Darla/Angel(us)?
Apple juice or orange juice?
(Questions back would be cool!)

Character: Katherine Pierce or Caroline Bennett?
Pairing: Jeff/Britta or Jeff/Annie ?
Anything: Summer or Winter?
(and I'll take questions too!)

TOTAL AGREEMENT. That's actually probably the best summation of my Leverage feelings ever. Though I would add a hearty dose of ONE TRUE PRETZELS! to it because it's kind of ridiculous how much I ship Hardison/Parker.
but Leverage has this innate kindness and it actually makes me feel better about the world. (Haven't finished Leverage yet, am mid-S3. But I somehow don't think it will disappoint me the way Firefly inevitably would have, had it not been discontinued.)
ABSOLUTELY.
I am looking forward to your essay that you should finish!
I love your Hardison=hacker feels. So perfect.
Do keep me updated on the Ella situation! I just adore that book to death, so I am anxious to hear if you love it!

Can't wait to check that ficlet out! Yay!

Hmmm...
I'm leaning towards GoT simply because I'm still bitter about the way BSG flamed out? But who knows--GoT could do the same to me in the end!
Sansa, probably by a smidge. Because she has her own narrative in a way Dawn never quite does?
UGH I HATE YOU. Probably Rory/Amy at this point only because I've seen them together and know how they are together. We're only just discovering that with Hardison/Parker, so that could change, though.
SO HARD. Fanvids maybe by a smidge? But only a smidge. There are webcomics I love madly.

GAIUS. No question.
Bennett, actually. Because her arc wasn't as crushingly disappointing to me as Fred's ended up being.
Spike/Angel because we get to see so much more of it.
CAVEMEN. BECAUSE CAVEMEN HAVE FIRE.
no subject
Ted, actually! He grew on me.
HYDE/JACKIE OMG NO QUESTION
Chips! I like salty things better than sweet ones!
Steal away!

Ooooh most of your choices are correct choices! Well, I prefer webcomics, but that's because I get unhealthily over-invested in them. Are you reading The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal? Because, hotdamn. Which comics do you like?
no subject
That is insanely difficult. Probably Darla by just a smidge because she has a whole arc and it's interesting, whereas Dru doesn't ever get any resolution, if that makes sense.
Darla/Angelus, but that one is also hard. Spike and Dru are more delightful, but Darla and Angel are more complicated.
Orange juice. We never had apple juice growing up, so I never learned to like it.
Questions back!
Veronica or Buffy? (the people. Or the show, whichever you wish)
Wes/Faith or Wes/Lilah?
Jessica Hamby or Caroline Forbes?
Katherine/Stefan or Katherine/Damon?
no subject

Katherine!
Jeff/Annie. I totally get the Jeff/Britta thing, but for me personally, I think Britta deserves better. She needs to be with someone who will treat her really well and not ever make her feel bad about herself (*coughtroycough*). Jeff is too cynical. Plus, Annie and Jeff make these faces at each other. TALK ABOUT GAZING. I don't want to ship them but I can't help it.
Summer! I haaaaaaate cold weather.
Questions for you (culled from your userpics):
Liz Lemon or Leslie Knope?
Emma or Pride and Prejudice?
Clueless or 10 Things I Hate About You?
The Mummy or Indiana Jones?
(I just saw that you have "Thornton as the Darcy of the industrial North" as one of your interests and I was suddenly overcome by N&S feelings. BEST.)

I am not reading that one! I will have to check it out!
I'm actually really not up on what the good webcomics are. I only read the big ones because those are the ones I know--Hark! A Vagrant, Hyperbole and a Half, xkcd, that sort of thing. I'll take recs gladly!

Veronica! Definitely one of my favorite protagonists. Buffy and I have a more complicated relationships.
Wes/Lilah because they're perfectly fucked up and hot and yes. They're one of my top two ships for the Whedonverse, and two of the top three characters. I do like Wes/Faith though. They're both very damaged, and their relationship has resentment and guilt, but they manage to work together fairly well.
Oh no baby vampires
Will be back with them and Katherine/Salvatores.

Questions:
Friday Night Lights or Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Troy Barnes or Tom Haverford
Spike/Buffy or Veronica/Logan
Cake or pie

Goddammit I did not need another celebrity crush. (I have only recently recovered from stalking Peter Dinklage and his beautiful wife.)
Oooh, webcomics! I sadly don't enjoy Hark! A Vagrant - I'm not good enough at history - but xkcd and Hyperbole both rock my world. Did you see xkcd's need What If offshoot? http://what-if.xkcd.com/ Yoda as a power source! Avogadro number of furry rodents!
Recs!
TJ and Amal is a WIP but it's by far the best webcomic I've ever read, both in art and storytelling. It's very place-related, plus it's about an all-American roadtrip and juggling identities and superiority-inferiority complexes and weird casual cross-class romance... it hits a lot of your kinks, basically? The love story, like the scenery, is beautiful and suspenseful and complicated.
Subnormality is my fave non-narrative comic (though there have been narratives, including a female Calvin-and-Hobbes homage that I utterly adore). The comics are typically more textual than is usual, but the art is careful and deliberate. I love the variety - many comics are political (strongly feminist and humanist, yay!), many are speculative, some are funny, some are tragic. Most are just weird, like so: http://www.viruscomix.com/page549.html
hmm, and there's Questionable Content, of course, which is a verrrrry long soap opera with a cool and diverse female cast and like two token males and a token robot. It's fun, if time-consuming. And the art evolution is just amazing.

I know you have problems with both, so, Supernatural or Dollhouse?
Lilah or Harmony?
Spuffy or Gen/Attolia?
Superman or Batman? (character, franchise, whichever)
no subject
Amy Pond or Martha Jones?
Angel/Buffy or Tara/Willow? (/TROLOLOLOL)
Writing or reading?

As far as fandom involvement goes, BtVS, but for everything else: FNL. Perfect show. Perfect.
TROY. Definitely.
Spike/Buffy by an inch. Only because I feel like their arc was better.
PIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE. Always.
no subject
Lilah!
Gen/Attolia, actually! Are you shocked?
I actually have zero feelings about superheroes? I enjoy the movies when I watch them, but I don't actively care about them. The only Superman I've ever watched is like the first Christopher Reeve movie a zillion years ago and I barely remember it (though it has a great soundtrack! Yay John Williams!). So I guess Batman simply because I've seen more Batman movies.
no subject
NO NO NO. Amy, maybe? But just barely. Barely barely barely. I have mad love for Martha.
HAHAHAHA. Actually I'm going to go with Angel/Buffy because I feel like the show deconstructed it in a more self-aware way. I still am not sure the show actually knew how terrible Tara/Willow ended up being.
For the vast majority of my life, I would have said reading. But the past year or so: writing. I've been doing so much more of it and I'm becoming more and more dependant upon it for my sanity.
no subject
Yes! My mind is well and thoroughly boggled. Is it your absolute favorite OTP then? I had thought Spuffy was your favorite. Where does Ron/Hermione fall on the spectrum compared to Spuffy and Gen/Attolia?
no subject
AGREED on Angel/Buffy. I have a lot of detached respect for their story. Tara/Willow... I'm not entirely sure what that story is supposed to be. So. Hm.
I wouldn't even know how to go about choosing between reading and writing. You are more decisive than I.
