You should watch The Wire, Lauren!
Each season is like a novel where the POV changes in how the drug scene/culture is explored in Baltimore. It's amazing.
It's a five-novel series they made into a TV show. It's masterful. It's one of the best shows ever. The writing, the acting, the characters <3
I would normally worry that I'm overselling it, but it's just so QUALITY.
