I've tried. I've honestly tried reading other pairings, but I always end up side-eyeing the characterization (because Buffy showing up at Angel's door Christmas Eve post-Chosen with a plate of baked cookies is TOTALLY something she would do, FLAMEY HANDS OF LOVE notwithstanding) or mocking the premise (Buffy baking cookies? What is she, Susie Homemaker?) or just general EEWage (they had sex after she brought Angel cookies. Angel sex totally makes the thought of cookies unpalatable), and I always end up trolling the Spike/Buffy tags at AO3 until three AM (okay, it was six AM last night, but I had to cleanse my palate after the Bangel Cookie Sex Fic).
