Great observation and so near poetic in the description! Loved this. I'm so glad! I was watching "Damage" the other night, and I noticed this in the scene where he and Spike are talking about the nature of evil at the end.

What is happening isn't fair or pleasant (unthinkable to bury everyone you love...save one person) but at least she HAS that one person. This girl needs to kill something, yes, and research, yes but she also needs to look at her silver lining with genuine gratitude. Yeah, you're right. And I think she knows that. She's doing the typical "If I can't kill my problem, I'll run away from it" thing here, which is a very Buffy reaction. But she's grown up a lot, as you'll see...though not for a few chapters.

I adore Angel, and I really, really want him to be able to accept who he is and really genuinely live life.

Glad he is being distracted by the overflow of love from the kids at least. I somehow can't imagine kids not loving Spike, you know? Which is weird, but very present in my head.

He is in as much pain as Buffy and knowing him....her pain is only adding to his. Oh, absolutely. Buffy's pain is always more important to him than his own, which can be a wonderful thing, but can also hurt him even more.

Thank you so very, very much for the detailed review. I really appreciate knowing your thoughts--knowing what exactly works for you and the emotional reactions you're having. I can't tell you what that means to me. Thanks!
