I always wondered if she would be immortal given how quickly she recovered from the wound that the FE taunted would be fatal in that battle in Chosen. That really is the only explanation for me. Otherwise it's just sloppy writing, you know?

She really is usually much better than this in my little future-world, as I hope you'll see in the rest of the story. She knows how to handle things like an adult now. It's just a mark of how huge this is that she reverts to the old ways. And yes, she is neither wise nor kind in this moment.
