Wonderful beginning. I always enjoy stories where Buffy deals with issues such as aging, or lack thereof in this case.

I especially love that she and Spike are in an established relationship and are dealing with the repercussions of Buffy's 40th birthday. You hit the right amount of angst, and I like it :)
