but continues in not accepting it/guilt-tripping Rose with it, which I find irritating. I can totally understand that and to an extent agree. I definitely agree that it isn't Rose's fault at all--she made her decision, she was upfront with him about it, and I don't think she leads him on. He does bring a lot of it on himself. But I think the reason I feel sorry for him is that he does really care about her--but there's no way he can compete. Like, ever. And she gets to go on all these fabulous adventures and (for the most part) leaves him behind. And I feel like I'd resent that, at least a little bit. But yeah. Not liking him at all is totally understandable.
