Because apparently this is all I do with my life now. (No, seriously, this is all I did today. I also finished one for The Social Network for tumblr, which I'll probably post over here after I finish it over there).

Elyssa wanted a Harry Potter gender!swap. I am nothing if not a people pleaser. Also, gender!swap casting is my favorite thing in life. So no one should be surprised that this post now exists.

But this was hard. Getting people in the right age-range? Who are British? And talented? Who resemble the characters? I ended up saying, “Screw it. They can dye their damn hair.” And if it was at all feasible even a little bitty tiny bit that you could believe they were 17, I went with it. Sue me.

I wanted to suggest Joanna Lumley (Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous) as Mad-Eye because she's hilarious and capable of being rather weird, but Helen Mirren!! I am conflicted.

It amuses me that you used Helena Bonham Carter and Eva Green, since they're both popular suggestions for Bellatrix... It works though! Also, Lyndsey Marshall as Lupin yes.

...Hugh Jackman is Australian. But he was British in Kate & Leopold, so whatever. He is attractive.

...now I want genderswitched young!Dumbles and Grindewald. Hmmm...

I don't care so very much about HP and I don't recognize any of the youngsters here, but how happy would I be to have this many of my favorite adult British actors together in anything? I would be very, very happy.

The elder Malfoys in particular strike me as very appropriate casting choices.

Perfect Trio! Nevilla Longbottom is a BAMF! Alba Dumbledore! Minervon McGonagall! RUBY HAGRID IS PERFECT, AND I HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED MIRANDA YET TO FALL IN LOVE WITH MIRANDA! Rema Lupin! I do not know who this Andrew Garfield is - wiki suggests I watch The Social Network, but I refuse to do so for moral reasons, but! But, oh god, the perfect Horatio. So earnest-looking, and kinda chill in a clever but also wise way, and oh god. Also, your Harry Potter. Again, no clue who the actress is, but pure perfection. I want to see their dynamics now. I want Karen Gillan pulling people from lakes and swinging around a huge red-ruby sword.

Also, Judi Dench and TOBY JONES ARE YOU EVEN KIDDING ME.
