I can see a pattern of characters who feel unloved/unappreciated (Caroline, Ron, Edmund) and more than a few who like to take care of people (Annie, Eleven, Buffy to an extent). And then there are straight-up badasses like Shoshanna, Zoe, and Buffy again.
