Oh, goodie! I'm glad you're liking it and that I could lure you away for a little while! But then back to reading, missy! *cracks whip*

It's a post-apocalyptic future where America has broken down into twelve districts that are ruled by a Capitol. They once rebelled (think: Firefly) and the Capitol now punishes them by making each district send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 a year to take part in this "game" where they have to kill each other and the last person standing wins. And all of this is broadcast on live TV so everyone has to watch it.

Which sounds ridiculous, I guess. But it's very good, well-paced, good characters. And it's actually about reality TV, I think, without the symbolism being overbearing. Fantastic ship that I think you'd love to death.

There are two more books and I can't wait to read them! But they're on hold at the library so it might be a bit.

Oh, and it's YA fiction, so very easy to read. I read most of the book last night.
