Re: Angel's characterization: most of the negative things I say about him should be followed with "...when he's around Buffy." Because I seriously think that being around her brings out all the bad sides of him. Everything about him is better when he's not around her. And honestly, I haven't read that in so long that I don't remember what I said! But I do know that my feelings change all the time, so who knows if I even believe in them anymore!
