Sam/Ainsley fic is hard! You have to be politically intelligent, banter-y, and communicate the UST. It's why it's hard to find it well done.

Sadly, unless Aaron Sorkin decides to write fanfic, I doubt it'd happen. I agree though, all you need is one really good fic to pick up where canon left off.

There is some Sam/Ainsley out there (and he's who people ship her with), but none of it has really bowled me over. And the few pieces I really like are short. I love shortfic like mad, but I want one long piece for them that shows them getting together. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place, but I cannot find it.
