I'm about halfway through season one after my friend pestered me into it and I am just in love with their domesticity and relationships and guh, just the little moments between them make my heart grow like the Grinch's after the whole stealing Christmas business.
I mean, as much as I love Buffy or Aeryn Sun or whoever, it's nice sometimes to see a female character who is strong but is also not physically imposing and who has the stereotypically girly emotions. She cries a lot. I love that about her, because I do, too. Exactly! (Also, omg, even if I'm not a public crier I weeeeep in private at everything. Books, songs, movies, particularly poignant commercials for children's hospitals or like, toilet paper, it doesn't matter.)
I-I just wish American networks would stay the hell away from my beloved British TV shows. American networks have the money but BBC have the writers and originality the majority of the time.
