33. White Christmas*
1. In a Garden Burning Bright by Rory Powers - This book is allegedly adult, not YA, but it felt too YA. While the aesthetic of the world is gorgeous and the prose works, it was clear after 20% that there wasn't going to be any there there. Too bad--if someone who knew how to write characters and/or politics had written this, it could have been great.
2. Where Ivy Dares to Grow by Marielle Thompson - See GoodReads for review. In short: bad bad prose.
