Dear Author Letter: Candy Hearts
Hello author mine,
How lovely of you to write something for me in a fandom we both love! I'm going to include some thoughts here, but I really am not at all picky (aside from my DNWs) and as long as I get the characters I love, I will be very happy. The prompts are entirely for your convenience and if none of them spark inspiration, please ignore them!
DNWS: PWP (sex is fine in a longer fic so long as it is character-focused and the sex itself isn't the point), character-bashing, infidelity, "onscreen" rape/non-con (dubcon of the shag-or-die/sex pollen or we're-forced-to-have-sex-due-to-circumstances are okay if it's between requested ships), AUs that change the setting (no high schools, coffee shops, or superheroes, please!), unmitigated fluff (some fluff is fine, but please temper it with other things), humiliation, broad humor, OOC, baby fic (meaning fic that focuses on the ship having/adopting a child. Incidental children are fine).

Things I love about this canon: the way that it's all about marginalized people finding agency and love despite the deck being stacked against them, the way that people who should objectively not get along end up loving each other fiercely, etc. The New Orleans-specific setting. Found family. Solidarity between oppressed people.

+ Chloë being an important person in Dominique's children's lives--Chloë isn't the maternal kind, but I bet she's incredible at treating children like they're real people and she would love any of Dominique and Henri's kids fiercely.

I also love magic and descriptions thereof, the fact that Tenar is a middle aged woman and is as valid a protagonist as any teenage chosen one, the fact that she chose an ordinary life and how there's nothing wrong with that, her disappointment over her son being...a disappointment, worldbuilding, etc.

+ A canon divergence where they fall in love earlier in life
+ Any scenes from them raising Tehanu together
+ An AU where they meet under different circumstances--maybe Tenar is a princess instead of a priestess or something.

I am but a simple Dasey shipper. Yes, I am basic. The way these two are so obsessed with each other but can't admit it because of Reasons is so delicious. I would prefer not to have a real AU for them--the fact that they've been living together for years and have all this history is what makes this ship so appealing to me, so I'm not interested in a story where they aren't stepsiblings. Something set during the show (I ignore the movie) or post-show would work equally well for me.

+ You know the scene in KoA where Gen gets stabbed and has the freakout and Attolia is deeply affected and the whole "Your blood" conversation? I would commit murder for something along those lines. Bonus points if Irene goes all possessive and destroys whoever hurt her husband.
