I am glad it's all working better for you than for me! I am still enjoying it, I just think I have different priorities than the writers and also than the writers assume the average viewer has, if that makes sense.
It would have been a nice nod to the OG if they'd used the actor who played Sarek in Discovery. I did like the actress who played the Praetor; she was chilling without being too over-the-top.

I am eager to be surprised by Paul Wesley! I've seen some incredibly snarky interviews he made about TVD that show that he does have a sense of humor, so maybe he'll be able to capitalize on that.
